  Artist Statement This portfolio displays my work throughout the semester, showcasing my development and growth. I chose an orange color scheme because orange is my favorite color. I feel that this choice made the portfolio more personal to me. Looking back on my work through the semester, I feel proud of everything I've learned and the skills I've developed. I'd like to continue to grow my personal portfolio in the future by attempting more digital media projects. Through this, I hope to become a better graphic designer and open doors for myself creatively. 

  SKETCHES BUSINESS CARDS ARTIST STATEMENT In this project, I improved by InDesign skills my creating three business card designs. On each of these designs, I incorporated my name, logo, job title, contact information, and website. I used small graphics I found online next to each line of contact information. I felt that this gave the design a more professional look. Deciding how to best incorporate my logo into each design provided a challenge. In the end, I like how my logo adds to each design. 

 POSTCARD ARTIST STATEMENT Working on this postcard taught me the fundamentals of Adobe InDesign. I enjoyed modifying the text and trying out different effects. I took a little liberty with the theme of "Eclipse" and referenced Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart.
