This tutorial provided a quick basic overview of the most important illustrator tools. The speaker explained the pen tool, type tool, rectangle tool, startle tool, curvature, and the difference between the selection and direct selection tool. I also appreciated the inclusion of keyboard shortcuts. The tutorial managed to cover a lot of information in a very limited amount of time, providing me a solid base knowledge of the program.

How To Vector Any Photo With Illustrator (In 5 Minutes Or Less!)

This tutorial provided step-by-step instructions to vector an image in Illustrator. It also gave a rundown on the pen tool, including various keyboard commands. The pen tool seems complex but has many helpful applications in Illustrator, such as making lines or creating color filler. After watching this tutorial, I feel equipped to vector images on my own.

Give ANYTHING a Realistic NEON GLOW in Illustrator

This tutorial gave a very quick step-by-step guide to creating a neon glow effect in Illustrator. It made use of the effects panel which I haven't looked much into yet. The neon glow effect was created by copying and pasting white text in place and applying a rising blur effect on each layer. This process seemed a little difficult but the clear step-by-step instructions helped.

  SKETCHES BUSINESS CARDS ARTIST STATEMENT In this project, I improved by InDesign skills my creating three business card designs. On each of these designs, I incorporated my name, logo, job title, contact information, and website. I used small graphics I found online next to each line of contact information. I felt that this gave the design a more professional look. Deciding how to best incorporate my logo into each design provided a challenge. In the end, I like how my logo adds to each design.
