ARTIST STATEMENT:
I chose to adapt this picture of me because it was taken on a day when I felt very confident. I had just bought myself a nice suit set and it was my first time going to a formal event in pants rather than a dress. Though the outfit was a step outside my comfort zone, it made me feel like myself that day. Based on this memory, I choose to caption my poster with a quote from Rebecca Sugar's show Steven Universe: "I don't need you to respect me, I respect me.". To me, the quote means that by fulfilling your own needs and being true to yourself, you won't need to rely on the validation of others. Express yourself freely and be confident and you will attract people who love you for you.

The speaker explained the pen tool, type tool, rectangle tool, startle tool, curvature, and the difference between the selection and direct selection tool. I also appreciated the inclusion of keyboard shortcuts.   SKETCHES BUSINESS CARDS ARTIST STATEMENT In this project, I improved by InDesign skills my creating three business card designs. On each of these designs, I incorporated my name, logo, job title, contact information, and website. I used small graphics I found online next to each line of contact information. I felt that this gave the design a more professional look. Deciding how to best incorporate my logo into each design provided a challenge. In the end, I like how my logo adds to each design.
